2014 will be a major year for Partisans who are back on the scene with a bang after a 3 year break in which co-leaders Julian Siegel & Phil Robson took time out from the band to follow their solo projects.
It’s been great to get all the feedback from fans attending other gigs letting us know how much the band was missed.

The first news to share is that Partisans have signed to the dynamic label Whirlwind Recordings & will go into the studio to record a CD of all new material in Feb 2014. This will be the bands first release since the highly acclaimed ‘By Proxy’ which came out in 2009 on Babel.

Whirlwind director Michael Janisch says

“I am extremely honored and delighted to add Partisans to the roster at Whirlwind Recordings. This is a ‘real band’ with incredible history that has endured with the same personnel since 1996 – a big rarity nowadays! I believe the core to Partisans’ success is that each member has maintained a profound commitment and perpetual curiosity with music over the years, and this is clearly evident in the band’s eclectic range of albums and musical progression. They also have a dedication to each other through thick and thin. I’m very excited to hear the band’s new material and we at Whirlwind will certainly be giving this album a worldwide push to help further Partisans already cult status in the world that operates in the borders between jazz and rock improv.”

Release date is set for Autumn ’14 but promo copies will be available from late June.

Partisans are currently finalising overseas dates during the summer of 2014 and will be ‘firing on all cylinders’ ready to hit the UK circuit in the Autumn.
